I'm using a website that provides a login form
on its main page. This main page is accessible via two equivalent URLs,
http://ej.ru/forum/ and http://ej.ru/forum/index.php
I discovered that the Password Manager doesn't fill in the form under the first
of the two URLs, but works as expected under the second URL.
Unfortunately, this site is in Russian, but I think the bug can be reproduced on
a crafted test page.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Establish a site with a test password form, accessible alternatively via a
directory-like URL ending with a slash (presumably, with default index page
handler) and an URL ending with a file-like name. In my case, it is
http://ej.ru/forum/ and http://ej.ru/forum/index.php
2. "Log in" with a username and a password (actual handling of login data is
irrelevant). When the Password Manager prompt pops up, opt to remember the
credentials.
3. Test the remembered credentials against both URLs.
Actual Results:
On loading the slash-terminated URL, the password form isn't filled in.
Expected Results:
On loading both URLs the password form should be filled in with stored
credentials (possibly after prompting the user for the master password).
Password encryption is enabled.

This is a login form HTML markup taken from http://ej.ru/forum/
it can be helpful in reproducing the bug. The text is saved in UTF-8 encoding.

Did you try this the other way around ? If you enter and save the password for
/, does it work for index.php ?

Answering to comment #2:
No, it doesn't work either.

Correction: it works the same way as described in the original report.
For /index.php, the password is recalled, but for /, it's not.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
