I'm not sure exactly what the issue is, but Thunderbird crashed 3 time for me
after I upgraded to the 8/26 nightly during spell checking.  I did not have this
problem with the 8/20 build.

Reproduce (W2k):
0. Open Compose window.
1. Type in a valid email address followed by a space (!) in the message field.
2. Spell check.

You mean like in the:

That was added by thunderbird because this was a reply with a quoted message
that I was spellchecking?

Attachment: updated patch to not spell check urls that doesn't crash

an updated patch for not spell checking urls that won't crash on us.

Re-spinning the 0.2 windows build with this fix right now.
