Build 1999121408M12: NT4, Linux/Redhat 6.0, Mac 8.5.1

Overview: Select a folder with messages, select a local folder with no messages
and notice that the thread pane does not refresh. It still displays the contents
of the first folder.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Mail to a POP account
2. Select a folder that includes messages. Notice that its messages appear in
the Thread pane.
3. Select an empty folder

Actual Results: The thread pane does not refresh. It still shows the message
headers for the first folder. If you switch to another local folder that
includes messages then the thread pane refreshes as expected. Once an empty
folder is selected then a refresh is not performed.

Expected Results: When switching between folders the Thread pane should refresh
automatically showing the true contents of the folder selected.

Additional Information:
- Using an IMAP account it displays empty folders correctly so long as they are
on the server. Once an empty local folder is selected then the problem also
occurs.

Additional Information: Once an empty folder is selected it does not refresh,
even if the folder becomes populated at a later time.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Mail
2. Select an empty folder ("Folder A")
3. Select a folder with messages, such as the Inbox
4. Copy the message into "Folder A"
5. Select "Folder A"

Actual Results: The Thread pane is not refreshed. It still shows the headers for
the Inbox. Once I close and restart Mail then I can view the contents of "Folder
A".

Expected Results: The thread pane should always reflect the correct messages for
the selected folder.

Ninoschka, could you try this again? This is working for me on NT, but I have a
change in my tree that might be fixing it though I don't think it should matter.
