The pic4.dll is available in the unzipped file but the installer does not 
recognize it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Download the Firebird file 
2.Unzip the file
3.click mozillafirebird.exe

Actual Results:  
message comes up stating pic4.dll not found install failed

Expected Results:  
finished installing

Rayek, your bugreport is seriously lacking. First, there is no pic4.dll in the
firebird distribution. Do you mean the plc4.dll? Which version/build of firebird
did you download and from where? Please elaborate on this, because without
further information, nothing can be done here.

sorry, this was the first bug I ever tried to report.
the file is plc4.dll and I downloaded version 0.6.1 from the mozilla.org web site.
I downloaded version 0.6.1 again this morning and tried to install with the same
results.

Rayek, I just downloaded Firebird 0.6.1 and the archive contains a plc4.dll
And it works pretty fine here and always has. 
Was your installation of firebird a fresh one or did you use if before 0.6.1?
This sounds more like a local problem on your side than a general firebird
problem, because if this file was indeed missing or not recognized at startup,
hundreds of people would have already reported that.

Works for me using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b)
Gecko/20030905 Firebird/0.6.1+

Please try installing into a new directory and creating a new profile, using the
MozillaFirebird.exe -p switch, and report your results here

Please reopen this bug if the above steps fail to resolve the issue.
