when using it to authenticate at proxy (SQUID 2.5.STABLE3) with auth scheme 
digest it's annoying with username/password window frequently.
squid guys say it's your fault.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.configure proxy to authenticate client with auth scheme "Digest" only
2.run firebird and try to work for a while
3.

Actual Results:  
you will be asked for username/password frequently, not just once.

Expected Results:  
ask username/password one time per session (until all windows closed)

Is this still happening with a current nightly build from
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firebird/nightly/latest-trunk and a fresh
profile?

Can you test this also with the mozilla application suite, please.
