User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030829 Firebird/0.6.1+ Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird 0.2 (20030901) When clicking on a received attachment, am only given option to Saved To Disk. The option to Open With Default Progrem is gone, and Open With... is greyed out. Open With did work when receiving my first .pdf file, but does not work with .xif file. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Expected Results: Launch correct file to open file.
Encountering this on the Mac OS X build also. It's perhaps "all" instead of "Windows XP"?
I get this popup error, when right click opening an attachmant in Thunderbird: C:\Docume~1\Username\Locals~1\Temp\Testfile1.doc could not be opened, because an unknown error occurred. Sorry about that. Try saving to disk first and then opening the file. [end]

I see the same problem on my Win 2K system with Thunderbird 0.3a If I go to File -> Options -> Attachments I see a list of currently 4 registered file types. If I double click an attachment which is of one of these types it openes correctly in the assigned application. For attachments which have a file extention not in the list, a little dialog pops up and I'm only offered the possibility to save the file. Even the "do this from now on" checkbox is greyed out. The file types are registered correctly within windows.

What I noticed is that the type is listed as application/octed-stream in the dialog. However Thunderbird shows the correct icon for this attachment (in this case the winzip icon)
