Going to the same location in Mozilla gives the following last modified dates
(copying this manually since there doesn't seem to be a way to copy from the
browser):

  ls-lR                 11/29/99 08:26:00 AM
  ls-lR.gz              11/29/99 08:26:00 AM

As you can see, Mozilla is reporting the times incorrectly.

this is definitely the same thing as 20706.  Some additional comments related to
