User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win95; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030827
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win95; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030827

Page is much longer than is shown on screen but scroll bar won't access rest of
page. Many pages on this site exhibit same problem

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Access URL
2. Try to get to bottom of page with scroll bar or page down
3.

Actual Results:
Bottom does not show. Scroll Bar and page down work in IE.

Expected Results:
Should access bottom of page.

Most other pages of othe sites work OK.

seems to wfm on win95 ... can you try it with a new nightly build?
Re: comment #2. Mmmmm. Don't know what to say. Retried and getting same failure
on another platform with "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US;
rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030827"

i.e. Windows Xp Pro SP 1. On this platform, page truncates at end of this line:
" This Week’s Tip

Hi everybody, & welcome to 157 new subscribers who have joined us this week.
Last week’s tip on the quotes"

<!-- Rest of page which does not show -->
pattern got a great response......<!-- more of page -->....

<!--end of page text which does not show-->
(I have deleted most of truncated text to keep this post short)

I note that highlighting and doing Ctrl-C _DOES_ pick up all the text, meaning
it picks up even the undisplayed text, if I highlight the quoted string shown above.

As another possible hint, both the Win95 and Win XP pro used the .zip version
of 1.5b for installing.

Changed OS type to Win Xp based on this test.

OS: Windows 95 → Windows XP
WFM, Windows XP, build 2003102804.
Bug Day: 1-13-2004

Works for me with 1.6b. I can access all the page just fine.
Duping with 230208 (instead of the other way around) because the other bug has a
testcase.

Comment #7:
Observe the URL suppilied... Cuts the text off at an arbitrary location down
the page (around line 178 in the source for me.)
This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

Both, IE and Fx show the exact same content for me.
