Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. go to site with certificate with unknown authority 2. accept certificate Actual Results: browser hangs: throbber throbs endlessly, icon goes to hourglass, never comes back. Expected Results: displayed the page.
can you point to a URL with such a certificate? adding keyword: regression.

unfortunately, no. The site in question is behind a corporate firewall (as was I when I was trying to access it.)
Moving to Browser -> Security: General I don't think this is a bug with Firebird, I'm not sure if it belongs to the Security component, but it seems the most logical place to me. Please have a look at bug 198943 and bug 216875 to see if either of them is describing the problem you have. I can't tell since I can't access the page you are describing.
