User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030827 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030827 The browser jumps to an anchor after the page is completely loaded, not just as soon as the page is loaded enough to find the anchor. Consider this sequence: - The user requests a page. - The browser starts loading the page, initially displaying the top of the page. - The page loads enough to get to the anchor. - The browser jumps to the anchor. - The user sees that the requested anchor and surrounding content is now available. - The browser continues loading the rest of the page. - The user starts scrolling around. - The browser finishes loading the page. - The browser jumps to the anchor a second time, disturbing the user. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Request a URL with an anchor in the middle of a big-enough file (or on a slow-enough connection). 2. As soon as Mozilla jumps to the anchor point, and before the file has finished loading, scroll up or down. 3. Wait until the page loading completes. 4. Mozilla jumps to the anchor again. Actual Results: See step 4. Expected Results: After jumping to the anchor the first time, Mozilla should not jump to it again.
