User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.0.3705) Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird 0.2 (20030901) I have started experiencing this problem from build 20030820. The behaviour continues in the current build (20030901). Every mail I send requires me to login again. I have not asked Thunderbird to remember my password. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Compose new mail 2.Send Mail 3.Login box appears Actual Results: Required login Expected Results: Just gone back to the logged in mail box. Default theme, no crash, Toshiba Portege R100 notebook with WinXP
> Every mail I send requires me to login again. > I have not asked Thunderbird to remember my password. Then this is desired behaviour.
the desired behaviour is that we ask you only once per run of thunderbird...
Sorry - my bad
Similar problem on PC running XP and T'bird 1.5. Upon opening, as expected, I get a dialogue box asking for password. No problem here, but after composing a message and pressing "send" the dialogue box re-appears asking for password again. Once given, T'bird does not request the password to send subsequent messages.
I think this bug is WFM. I did not ask Thunderbird to remember my password, Thunderbird asked me once and for the rest of the session sending of mail didn't cause the login dialog to come up. Latest 3.0a2pre Mac build on Leopard. Reporters, does the issue still occur?
