In the mail window's subject pane, you can't extend the selection (via
shift-click) to include a message immediately above the currently selected message.

You can extend the selection if you click on a message that is 2 or more away
from the currently selected message though.

Yeah, a weakness in the hack that I didn't have time to track down.  Please use
CTRL-Click as a workaround for this case until the real feature is ready.
