219932 - I can receive newsgroups but not mail. Trying to retrieve mail I get failed to connect to server imap.mail.netscape.com.

Will connect with Netscape to retrieve newsgroups but refuses to download mail
to the Mozilla version Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.5)

I am disabled and am partially blind and paralyzed so I would appreciate a "See
Jane Run.  Run, Jan, Run." sort of answer.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. From Window on the Tool Bar I click mail/newsgroups
2. Newsgroups download and error message apprears for mail
3.

Actual Results:  
Alert Box Appears with the message Server failed to connect to server
imap.mail.netcenter.com

Expected Results:  
Downloaded my Netscape mail.

I understand that the Netscape IMAP server uses a non-standard system.  This
means that ONLY Netscape Mail can connect to it.  Mozilla (and I guess other
programs) do not have the necessary information to work with the Netscape Mail
server.

So you wouldn't be able to use Mozilla to connect to imap.mail.netcenter.com,
I'm afraid.

I hope this is clear!  I suspect this means your bug is invalid.

yes, if you're trying to access netscape web mail with Mozilla, it won't work
because Netscape web mail uses proprietary aol technology that Mozilla is not
allowed to use. However, we should put up an error message to this effect, I think.
