User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-GB; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030728 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-GB; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030728 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1

I have found that if a page loads while Firebird is minimised, the mousewheel
will no longer function until the page has been reloaded. This is true for all
pages. I have found this under both 2000 (SP3, SP4) and XP (SP1). I was using
the standard MS mouse driver.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click link
2. Minimise browser during loading period
3. Try using mousewheel
4. Reload page to fix
Actual Results:
Problem didn't occur... however, this has happened to be a lot and always when I
minimised the browser. Unsure as to whether this is specific to page type,
state of page load, etc. Especially common on forums of the ubb style.

Expected Results:
Page should load, mousewheel should work.

Browser is running default theme.
Happens with and without extensions running.

I've seen this with Firebird 0.6.1 on Windows 2000, but not with 0.6 or before.

It's not easily reproducable. It does appear to have to with using the middle
mouse button to load pages in the background, and then minimizing the whole
window while it loads. It almost never happens immediately. I then come back
to the window much later, and the mouse wheel doesn't work.

To reproduce, you'll have to keep a single instance running for a long time,
load pages repeatedly in the background/minimized. When it's minimized, go do
something else for a while, and then come back to Moz. Repeat until the mouse
wheel locks up.

If I open a new tab or a new window, the wheel works fine in the new tab/window,
but nothing seems to restore the mouse wheel in the current window.

When this occurs, any navigation key does not function also. Refresh only will
fix this strange state.

I was unable to reproduce this bug using Firebird 0.7 in windows XP

This does not appear to be a problem in newer builds of Firebird and in Firefox.
Haven't experienced it in quite some time (either in 2K or XP).

I have found the same bug as well.

"Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8"

What happened was if I choose a drop-down menu, my mouse wheel on my MS Optical
Trackball stops working. Reload clears it up.

Funny, as we speak, the wheel does not work. All I just did was check the help
to cut/paste the quoted versions above.

(I'm placing in Confirmed status, forgive me if this is wrong)
WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040415
Firefox/0.8.0+ and MS Intellimouse Optical with Intellimouse 4.1.

Can you try to reproduce it with a current build?

To comment 5: What for a drop-down menu do you mean?
