Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030917 Firebird/0.6.1+
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030917 Firebird/0.6.1+
It is still not possible to use profiles created on Moz 1.5b Win on Moz 1.5b
Linux and vice versa. prefs.js contains absolute path definitions which causes
newsserver settings to disappear. Moreover, imap settings cause some problems
when migrated.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a profile on Moz 1.5b Win
2. "import" it into a Moz 1.5b Linux installation
Actual Results:
Absolute pathnames in prefs.js cause problems in nntp settings (subscribed
groups are gone) and also imap.
Expected Results:
A moz profile should be seamlesslingly usable in both "unix and win worlds".
Path information should always be relative, not absolute.
This issue was already raised some months ago, but I could not find appropriate
bugs for it ...
