Often when a request hangs (the server is slow in responding), I will resubmit
the request either by hitting the enter key with focus on the location bar, or
by hitting the reload button. Both of these actions should cancel the pending
request and start a new one.

The behavior I see with Mozilla leads me to believe that the original, pending
request is not cancelled. I often have to explicitly hit stop, and then reload
or enter on the location bar.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Hit a busy site that may loose your request so you hang, pending completion
2. Put focus on the location bar and hit enter to resubmit, or just hit reload
3. Wait.

Actual Results:
No real change.
However, there IS change if I stop the pending request first.

Expected Results:
Request is resubmitted and hopefully, this time, the server returns.
i've not noticed this problem myself. reporter: does it happen with any
particular URLs?
I can't say that I have noted any one site. I'll pay more attention and see if I
can find a site the repro's consistently.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
