User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1) Build Identifier: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1) <but see below> The versiohn of Mozilla I am using is Mozilla for OS/2, 1.5rc1, in which mozilla.exe is dated 09/19/2003, 7:25 p.m, and is 90445 bytes. In About->Mozilla, no build date is stated, and the browser identifies itself as Mozilla 4.0 (see above). I want Mozilla to display the home page on Navigator startup. In all previous versions of Mozilla, I have been able to set Mozilla through Edit->Preferences->Display on Navigator Startup->Home page and click on OK. The same settings are _apparently_ available in 1.5rc1, but they have no effect. I set Navigator to display the home page when opening, click on OK, and then shut down the browser, but when I reopen the browser, the last page visited is what is displayed, and when and go to Edit->Preferences, the box for blank page is checked. I have repeated thje procedure several times, and the condition is repeatable. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open browser 2. Go to URL other than home page. 3. Click on Edit->Preferences 4. Button for blank page is checked at top of settings page 5. Check home page 6. Click on OK 7. Click on File->Exit 8. Open browser again 9. Last page visited, NOT home page, is displayed 10. Click on Edit ->Preferences 11. Settings page shows Display on Navigator startup with blank page checked Actual Results: Always opens with last page displayed, no matter what. Always shows blank page oin the settings page reached after Edit->Preferences. Expected Results: Should display home page when opened. Usinh both Multizilla and Pinball theme.
Are you sure you're using a 1.5rc and not trunk? This sounds like bug 219456 but that should only be present on trunk.... As for your UA string, you are explicitly overriding it in your preferences, so it's not very useful.
Summary: Edit->Preferences->Display on Navigator Startup settings will not "stick." → Edit->Preferences->Display on Navigator Startup settings will not "stick."
Please try this on a current OS/2 build.
