User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20030925 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20030925 On a clean install of Mozilla 1.5 rc2, i setup an email account via Mail & Newsgroup icon, after finished all needed info, i checked the SMTP server settings and its seems that the default SMTP server port (which is 25) is not missing so i had to put in 25 in the port field. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. If you have existing Mozilla, Remove it via Control Panel Add/Remove programs 2. Delete any Mozilla data from C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Mozilla 3. Install mozilla, select Complete setup. 4. Mozilla will launch after a successful install 5. Click the Mail & Newsgroup icon from Mozilla status bar to launch the email Account setup 6. Setup a pop3 account, and complete all required fields, on the last dialog box, i unchecked Download Messages Now. 7. Now you have setup the email account. Actual Results: To check your settings, from the Mail & Newsgroup, I click Edit, then Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings Then from the Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings Dialog, select Outgoing Server (SMTP). Nothing is inside the Port: field. Expected Results: I expect that the default port (which is 25) should be in the Port: field instead of blank.

This is no bug, just a little bit ugly. If the port field is empty, Mozilla will tak the standard port (25). Changing severity and summary.

With the patch from bug 135357 the SMTP server port field now always shows the port used.
