I upgraded to the latest nightly build, and mozilla has lost *all* the profile
settings: My homepage, tabs, popus, passwords, form data etc.. etc...

It also re-imported the IE favs, which I do not use anymore. Maybe the installer
should ask if the user wants to import IE favs. Users like me, who don;t use IE
anymore, have to go in and delete the IE bookmars!

Anyway, I will reset all my settings. Just thought, you guys would like to know
this happened.

Steps to Reproduce:
Severity: normal → critical
Keywords: dataloss
this is a duplicate- with plenty of possibles bugs to duplicate against  
damaged prefs file (bug 170539) seems most likely
we have not been able to reproduce here- so not able to verify if that was fixed
