User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020827 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030808 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1+ I am using MozillaFirebird for solaris2.7 (I thought) on a sun ultra10. A coworker is using the same setup with no problems. The issue is that it looks like Firebird is cutting off the last letter of any file-related listing or saving, including certs w/the TTLO extension. Very similar to bug # 170316 except that I am not using any language pack, program is set to US English. When I start MozillaFirebird it ALWAYS asks me to create a new profile, because when I select an existing one I get "MozillaFirebird cannot use the profile "<profilename>" because the directory containing the profile cannot be found." Then I go to create a new one and it suggests "~/.phoeni/Default Use" and sadly I found directories labeled ".phoeni" AND ".phoen" in my home directory (in addition to the expected ".phoenix"). This is pretty frustrating because otherwise, I am really pleased with the functionality of Firebird. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start MozillaFirebird 2.Try to use an existing profile and be denied, create a new profile each time you start the program just so you can actually get to the browser window 3.Go try to 'Open File'. Options in the 'Look In" field are: /loca, /local/hom, /local/home/pe (instead of actual username "pete"). It also says I do not have the permissions necessary to display this directory (the "/local/home/pe" permutation of my own home directory) Actual Results: once I create a new profile I can get into the program. But I do have to do this EVERY time I open Firebird. I have just installed MozillaFirebird yesterday on my Sun Ultra10, using what was labeled as "MozillaFirebird-sparc-sun-solaris2.7-static.tar.gz". did not compile,

See bug 221015. I just had the same problem and was able to resolve it with a sun patch.
solaris patch 112689-02 (UTF-8 locale ICONV patch) suggested in bug report 221015 did solve the problem! FYI, patch was found at: http://www.scn.rain.com/pub/sunos-patches/sol7/ Thanks! :)
marking as dupe. see also http://www.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla1.5/installation-ports.html (bug 220920) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 221015 ***
