I downloaded Mozilla 1.6 - Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113 and reinstalled Flash - File name: Shockwave Flash NP-PPC Shockwave Flash 7.0 r19 Result: The usatoday site still gives me the "For enhanced presentation, Flash 6" message, and the graphic in the upper right hand corner of the page does not change as it does for me with Safari.
Fundwatch: Can you give me more information about what kind of hardware/software you are running? The original information in the bug does not contain that info. I am testing this bug on a Mac Powerbook G4 with 512 MB RAM, running the latest version of Panther
Marcia: Here's some information about my machine, and the Panther software version: Machine Model: Power Mac G4 CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (2.9) Number Of CPUs: 2 CPU Speed: 450 MHz L2 Cache (per CPU): 1 MB Memory: 1.25 GB Bus Speed: 100 MHz Boot ROM Version: 4.28f1 Sales Order Number: M7892LL/A System Version: Mac OS X 10.3.2 (7D24) Kernel Version: Darwin 7.2.0
Marcia, I also tried the usatoday site on a newer computer that I have, with the same result... no flash presentation on the upper right corner. Here is the information on that computer: Machine Model: iMac CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (2.1) Number Of CPUs: 1 CPU Speed: 700 MHz L2 Cache (per CPU): 256 KB Memory: 640 MB Bus Speed: 100 MHz Boot ROM Version: 4.41f1 Sales Order Number: M8672LL/B System Version: Mac OS X 10.3.2 (7D24) Kernel Version: Darwin 7.2.0
