Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6a) Gecko/20031027
Firebird/0.7+
I am not able to reproduce this using English (united states) Windows XP
language setting. However Tintlgnt.ime is a windows L18N file for the Chinese
language.
A few questions.
1) Were you using a localized (Translated) version of MozillaFirebird? For
example MozillaFirebird-0.7-win32-zhCN.zip.
2) Were you running Windows XP in a language other than English?
3) If you use a current nightly build with a clean profile and no extensions
installed can you reproduce this?
Steps to run a clean version of MozillaFirebird with out losing any personal
settings
a) Back up your Firebird settings
i) open C:\Documents and Settings\"your user name"\Application Data\
ii) Rename Phoenix to Phoenix-old
b) download MozillaFirebird from
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firebird/nightly/latest-trunk/
c) Unzip it to your Desktop
d) Attempt to recreate the problem
e) delete the mozillafirebird folder from your desktop
f) restore your profile
i) open C:\Documents and Settings\"your user name"\Application Data\
ii) delete Phoenix
iii) Rename Phoenix-old to Phoenix
If some one can give a translation of some of the following it may be of help.
tintlgnt.ime

Blake,
I followed the steps and I can reproduce the crash. However, if I remove the
ime module (Chinese (Taiwan) New Phonetic Input Module) via Control Panel it
seems to fix the problem. So it may be the problem with the Input Module? I
found also that ALT-SHIFT key sequence is assigned in Control Panel as short
cut to switch between input methods. This means I can crash it just by
pressing ALT-SHIFT and release it.
(1) I am using English version of XP.
(2) I have 2 more input method defined in Control Panel: Chinese Phonetic and
Chinese New Phonetic.
(3) reproduced. see above.
