When you click Search, you get sent to a 404 page: When you hit the Search button you get a "404": The requested URL /htdig-cgi/htsearch was not found on this server. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Type something to search for in the url field 2. Click the Search button 3. Voila! Actual Results: You get sent here: [I searched for: TI-89 Calculator], I got sent to: http://www.mozilla.org/htdig-cgi/htsearch?config=htdig&words=ti-89+calculator&method=and&format=long and it says: Not Found The requested URL /htdig-cgi/htsearch was not found on this server. Apache/1.3.27 Server at www.mozilla.org Port 80 Expected Results: That I would see some search results
Change your Defafault search engine to something besides mozilla.org. Edit-> Pref.-> Navigator-> Internet Search-> Search Using. It looks like Htdig in mozilla.org is no more see bug 160778 comment 3. Mozilla.org search in mozilla should be changed to use google.com.
Mozilla.org search has been removed, so you cannot be sent to this URL again in future builds. Apart from that, look at comment #1.
