If you copy and paste a server name when setting up a new email account, you get
an error message. This happens whether you select POP or IMAP.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Begin to add new email account
2.Enter identity information, press Next
3.Paste Incoming Server info from another copied source, press Next
4. Receive error message
Expected Results:
Should be able to accept pasted values
I also placed some trailing spaces after the pasted value to see if that would
work, but I still received the error message. (See attachment)

Though you wrote that there are no trailing spaces, I'm almost sure this is the
cause. Could you please re-check that are no spaces at the beginning in the
textbox? Does it work when you type in the hostname instead of pasting it?
The function that checks for a valid hostname is very simple but doesn't like
any spaces in the input.

I rechecked, and yes, when I copy and paste, it seems that one space is always carried forward. I
deleted the space and it was added successfully. Is it possible to trim the whitespace so that this
does not happen? It would ensure that this does not happen. I frequently cut/paste when entering
into forms data that I already have elsewhere on my computer. Thanks.

Thanks for testing.
bug 99133 is about the trailing/leading spaces.
