221447 - All attempts to log into systems using AOL "screen names" fail

Anything I've tried that touches screenname.aol.com seems to fail under 1.5rc1,
though it still works in 1.4 (and did work in 1.5beta). 

I have tried dropping cookies and Password entries associated with those sites,
and deleting the XUL.mfl file (which often seems to clear security problems),
but no results. Signing into sites with other accounts (Yahoo, MSN/Hotmail,
etc.) works fine.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to above site or any site that uses AOL screen names.
2. Enter screen name and password, then enter or Sign In.

Actual Results:  
Another page from myscreenname.aol.com is displayed asking for name and
password. No info as to why login fails.

Expected Results:  
Successful login and display of appropriate page.

I've captured and formatted an IPTrace dump, but prefer not to post here since
there is security info involved.

Does bug 211469 help you ? (create a new profile might help).

Yes, I can get in by creating a new profile. That's a royal PITA, though, as  I
have a lot of customization under this profile. I did a piece-by-piece migration
a month ago and it was a 6-hour process!

Seem to have worked around the problem by removing entries in security file for
www.aol.com and screenname.aol.com and killing the XUL.MFL file. Not a good fix,
but... <shrug>
