But if I looked into the files, the mail was still in the file, from which it should have been moved. Because of this duplication of mails the files grow up and uses memory capacity. In our office most people uses mozilla as mail client, but we have to change, if this problem isn't be solved in a short time, because our server crashed because of less memory capacity. The problem occures on windows 2000 and nt by using mozilla 1.4. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. moving mails from one folder to another 2. 3. Actual Results: Visible on mozilla mail frontend it works, mail has moved, but if looking into the files using a text editor the mails are still there. So a file can use much memory capacity although there is no mail in the mail folder it belongs to. Expected Results: Also moving the mail from one file to the other and not only copying it. There is a similar problem when printing a page from the web uising mozilla. An entry is made in the cache, but if deleting the cache such entries are not deleted maybe becuase there is no pointer to such entries.

Use "compact folders". This will delete the moved and deleted files in the files *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 183837 ***
