Clicking "Login" at http://searchrequests.weblogs.com/member/login doesn't
submit the form.

I think this is a password manager problem because I see an empty login to
searchrequests.weblogs.com in the password manager.  If I remove the empty
login, it reappears when I go back into password manager.  (I was able to remove
another login, but that didn't fix the original problem of not being able to
submit the form.)

I am *unable* to reproduce using a new profile.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6a) Gecko/20031008
Firebird/0.7+ (aebrahim)

This bug goes away if I switch to 08/11 or 08/16 builds.

I think it's a legit bug because it's strange behavior even given that it's
profile corruption.  But if you think all bugs that only happen with corrupt
profiles are invalid, I won't argue with you.

I marked my bug #223254 as a dupe of this becuase this bug was filed earlier. 
There are a few more details of the problem in that bug, however.

I can reproduce this with my current profile. I haven't tried creating a new
profile yet. Using 0.8 branch build:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031218 Firebird/0.7+
BTW, the site I used was http://www.kingsofchaos.com/. Creating a new profile
did indeed fix the problem.
I had the same problem after using Firebird 0.8 trunk. Creating a new profile
did fix the problem. What is strange is that after copying the old signons.txt
to the new profile loggin in to several sites (ebay and some phpws driven sites)
didn't work.
I can reproduce this bug while logging in to the admin pages for
mail.mozilla.org mailing lists with an existing profile.  Logging in works fine,
but when I try to change a list password using the form on the list's admin
page, the form won't submit.  Deleting all my mail.mozilla.org saved passwords
doesn't work; at least one always reappears if I close and then reopen the Saved
Passwords dialog box.
Removing the following entry from signons.txt fixed the problem:

http://mail.mozilla.org
roster-email

*roster-pw

I had the same problem with the Firefox 0.8 (winXP) on www.acfmovies.com and I
deleted 
http://www.acfmovies.com
username

*password

.
from this file and it works now.
Did bryner's checkin for bug 231042 fix this bug?

This fix apparently breaks Bug 226132.

As far as I can tell this was fixed by the checkin for bug 231042.

If anyone still sees this please reopen this bug.

Other breakages caused by this fix should be reported to relevant existing bugs
or to a new bug.

I'm still seeing this problem with a recent nightly. Some sites that I have
passwords saved for still work, but I can't type a username/password into most
forms and have submit work. If I go to 'View saved passwords', both tabs have no
entries, though there are quite a few entries in my signons.txt file.

Weirdly enough, I can sign into Bugzilla :)

Works fine for me now anyway!
