User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b; MultiZilla v1.5.0.3g) Gecko/20030925 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b; MultiZilla v1.5.0.3g) Gecko/20030925 When I close Mozilla 1.5 RC2, occasionally, Windows and Talkback report a crash and offer to send the data to Microsoft and Mozilla.org. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch Mozilla 1.5RC2. 2. View some websites. 3. Close the browser. Actual Results: Windows and Talkback reported a crash. Expected Results: Mozilla should have closed without displaying any messages. I have the Downbar 0.8, Multizilla 1.5.0.3(g) and Smoothwheel 0.32(currently disabled through Multizilla)extensions installed.
The relevant ModName is appcomps.dll, if that's any help.
Attached is the data Windows gives about the crash(saved from the temporary file used by Windows for sending the data to M$).
->Browser-General Talkback is for problems with Talkback, not because Talkback is reporting on a Mozilla crash Did you submit the talkback report? What was the Talkback ID? (run talkback.exe in the components directory within Mozilla)

I just want to note that, with a prior version, I had such crashes too. Turned out to be a fault memory stick (Mozilla is very responsive to damaged hardware).
The Talkback ID for the last crash is TB24346781Y. Recently it seems to have been coming up every time I close Mozilla. On all crash incidents, I sent the data to the Talkback server.
After some experimentation, I've found that it only crashes when the following steps are taken: 1. Open Mozilla. 2. Browse a little. 3. Close Mozilla. 4. Open Mozilla. 5. Browse a little. 6. Close Mozilla. 7. Crash occurs. Most likely it is a memory problem. I have Quick Launch enabled, by the way.
I forgot to mention something crucial in my bug report - Mozilla doesn't really crash. Talkback and Windows report a crash, but there is none. This is verified, because the Quick Launch icon does not disappear, and the splash screen doesn't appear when I relaunch Mozilla. Additionally, this seems to be related to another bug that was supposedly fixed in the nightlies. This other bug(I forgot the number)reported that when the prompt to close Mozilla or not was enabled, clicking on either the cancel or ok button would provide the same result; Mozilla would close. However, the other side-effects I mentioned were conspicuously missing from that bug report.
