User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98) Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird 0.3 (20031013) A new inbox optional heading of "Sent To" would be helpful. I receive mail on a single account that has multiple aliases. Some are sales related, some support, some personal. So a "Sent To" heading is very useful in processing my inbox (and other folders). A new inbox optional heading of "Received" showing the date/time the item was received whould be helpful. This is not the date Thunderbird received it, but is from the topmost "Received" email header. Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Well, this is two bugs, but the second one is a dupe of bug 216033. First part should be extended to allow users the option of showing each individual mail header. For instance, POPfile adds "X-POPFile-Link", which has a URL you go to if your email is classified wrong, so it can be corrected. I would like to see this header, but I don't necessarily care about headers such as "Message-id".
I can't tell if this bug's use of "header" is indicating the text displayed in the message pane's envelope panel, or the column headers in the thread pane. I suspect the latter, as the envelope always shows the "To:" field unless collapsed to "brief headers" mode. "Sent To": there already is, and has been for a long time, a Recipient column. Does that not work? "Received Date": Yes, that's bug 216033, and see also bug 166254, which has a patch on the trunk. Robert Mohr: "Customized mail headers" -- again, column headers or envelope panel? You seem to be talking about the envelope. If so, that feature is now implemented: see bug 353193.

As the original poster, let's close this. Both items had to do with the column headers, not the envelope panel. This was originally opened when using TB 0.3 and a lot has changed since then. The Recipient column solved one need while bug 166254 covered the other.
