The browser is caught in a loop when it tries to load this page. You see many
urls but the page never loads. The browser doesn't hang, it just can't load
these pages. This is a new bug with 1.5, it never happened in the earlier
builds (1.4, etc)
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to http://weather.com
2.
3.
Actual Results:
various urls flash in the address bar and keep reappearing but the page never
loads. You can't get to the site.
Expected Results:
The page should have loaded.

WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.6a) Gecko/20031014
Seems I got redirected once, but I can´t tell exactly, as I´m loading tabs in
the background. When I switched to the tab, http://www.weather.com/ was loaded.

I´m now seeing this on another computer, running Win98 with SP1, DUN (ISDN)
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.6a) Gecko/20031015
http://www.w2.weather.com/common/jump.html?/
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache">
<meta http-equiv="Refresh"
content="0;URL=http://www.w2.weather.com/common/jump2.html?/">
</head>
http://www.w2.weather.com/common/jump3.html?/
<body>
<img height=1 width=1 border=0
src="/RealMedia/ads/adstream_nx.ads/noad.weather.com/noad@TopBanner">
</body>
</html>
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache">
<meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="0;URL=http://www.weather.com/">
</head>
<body>
</body>
</html>
Is that a "yes, I see the problem too" or "I see the redirection, but it's
working correctly"? The site wfm using the 10/21 Firebird nightly on Win 2000.

I had this problem for a while also. It turned out the issue was some sort of
cookie problem. I had blocked cookies from weather.com, but there were still
some stored cookies that I forgot to delete. Going to weather.com caused the
infinite redirect loop. However, when I deleted these stored cookies (while
still denying weather.com all cookies), weather.com loaded correctly again.

v1.5 wfm under Linux. v1.6a does not work on Mac OS X, I see the same looping
behavior that did not happen under 1.4 (haven't tried 1.5).

A corollary to comment #5: I had 1 cookie stored for .weather.com and then had
disabled cookies for that site and got the looping problem. When I re-enabled
cookies the site loads correctly. This is Mac OS X, Moz v1.5.

*** Bug 231046 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Resolving worksforme, I am willing to bet they have some Javascript that relies
on cookies existing and it crashes and burns when they aren't found. But if
that's wrong, please feel free to reopen.
