Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.5)
In Mozilla 1.5 the top menu bar suboptions don't work when selected in Navigator
(they do when selected in Mail/News), the main menu opens but clicking on an
option has no effect (eg. selecting Edit > preferences had no effect). The right
click context menu fails to open on web pages, also the tab bar context menu
fails to open. Hyperlinks in pages lock the browser for a short period and then
fail to open the selected URI. The effect persisted over 3 separate fresh
installs of 1.5 (had to uninstall v1.5 and reinstall v1.4 to follow links to
this page). OS = winME on PC.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install version 1.5
2. Access menu
3. Try to access sub menu options
Actual Results:
Nothing
Expected Results:
Open submenu option, eg. preferences
Problem occured while using the modern theme on a fresh install of v1.5. And
again after uninstalling 1.5, cleaning the registry, rebooting and then
reinstalling.

Assuming you installed into a new directory, did you also test this with a new
profile? Your User Agent still shows 1.4, so maybe this is a leftover from an
extension.

UA was showing as 1.4 as I reverted to that when 1.5 wouldn't work. Just
retested with a new profile and it's working now. I'll try uninstalling the
extensions from that profile to see if it has any effect.

Fixed after uninstalling the tabbrowser extensions (which also disabled a few
other extensions). Reinstallation of the extension worked too.
