Bart: this is two bugs - i.e. the two paragraphs you quote are one bug each. The
second of them appears to be fixed, however, so this bug can be the first of
them, as its title indicates.

Not quite sure about what's going on in this bug, but I'm pretty sure it's WONTFIX.

Due to browsers like Firefox even stripping support for it, the HTML 2.0 (!) <link> elements for easier site navigation unfortunately have not gained much web use. It would be really nice to support them (Bugzilla does, for example) as the one area where they gained great acceptance is accessibility tools, but it's surely not a must for us to support long-lived web standards.
