User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7 The height of a float is failing to reduce when that float's content is replaced with a smaller amount of text. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Load http://simon.incutio.com/code/css/2colsbordered/two-column-bordered-floats.html 2. Click on the 'Swap the two columns' button - they swap, everything is fine 3. Click it again; they swap back, but the height of the page does not reduce Actual Results: The overall height of the page stayed at the larger size Expected Results: It should have reflowed/repainted the page, reducing the overall height back to its original value If you resize the page, even slightly, while the bug is visible, the page reflows and fixes itself
Layout issue... I see this on current Linux trunk too.

Is there a javascript workaround for forcing a reflow of the page?

Both testcases WFM, 1.8a6 Gecko/20041126 but not 1.8a5 Gecko/20041123. Another "victim" of bug 209694?
Looks like it. Marking fixed.

If you don't know what fixed it, it's WORKSFORME.

We know what fixed it, the patch for bug 209694. I don't know when they started doing this or they did this all along, but when something's fixed by a patch in another bug, it's now marked fixed. For example, bug 206436 and bug 229787.
