My Laptop lost power while I was editing my Personal Address Book.  When I
rebooted (warm), my Address Book was empty.  I had been editing some addresses
when my Thinkpad slipped into hibernation mode (or something like that) due to a
discharged battery.  I have a loose connector for my charger and I hadn't
noticed that I was discharging.  When I rebooted, the Personal Address Book
showed 0 entries.  The "Collected Addresses" are still there, as is my imported
pab, but where did my "master" Personal Address Book go and more importantly,
how can I get it back?  Also, I have a desktop PC that I try to keep in sync
with the laptop.  I have no problem copying the email files from one PC to the
other, but what are the file names of the Personal Address Book and the
Bookmarks files so I can keep them in sync also?

Mozilla Address Books have extension .mab, you can find out about such things
from the release notes (including where your profile lives).
filemon <http://www.sysinternals.com> would let you find your profile by
if you simply ran it, monitored 'mozilla' and then ran mozilla.

your addressbook is probably lost, i'd personally try using an unerase app to
see if there's a deleted copy available.

addressbook backups are saved in the profile directory with a .mab.prev
extension, and bug 231921 covers closing mab files when not in use (different
from this case).  Aside from the answered question of how to attempt recovering
a lost file, there's not much else to do with this bug.  Mark invalid? Dupe?

"The following email looks like a reassignment of a problem I had opened.  I
have recovered from the problem and I don't want to waste anyone's time.  As it
has not happened again, it would be alright with me if the problem were closed.
