Double clicking on any tab in the tab bar in Mac Firebird causes a new one to open. This is ridiculously annoying.

Weird. I don't see this at all. Double clicking on any tab does nothing for me (except bring the tab to the foreground, if it wasn't before). Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.6a) Gecko/20031016 Firebird/0.7+ I don't have the tabbrowser extensions installed. Any chance it could be related to them?

Are you using the default theme? I don't see this with the default but the Pinstripe theme for Firebird does open a new tab when you double-click.

Yes this is particular to pinstripe. I couldn't figure out exactly why, but double clicking on a tab in pinstripe creates an event with target set to the tabs container, not the tab itself. Here's a patch that has equivalent functionality to what exists currently but works in pinstripe...
