Installed mozilla 1.5 RC2, leaving it on the desktop, and all there are no
bookmarks in it, open Mozilla 1.4 (still in /Applications/) and there are no
bookmakrs there... Many many other things happened as well.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1.I do not want to try to reproduce this, the result is so revolting

Actual Results:  
lost all bookmarks

Expected Results:  
bookmarks not lost

Bookmarks are also lost when switching from Netscape 7.1 to Mozilla 1.5 (20031007)

I lose bookmarks when I first run Mozilla 1.5 on a given day.

I had lost them on installation (and also found Personal Toolbar bug mentioned
elsewhere).  Tried clean install, then while Mozilla was not running, I copied
backup bookmarks into profile location.  Worked OK till lost next day.  Does not
lose bookmarks on restarting Mozilla or restarting after power off.  But loses
them after startup on next day.  Reproducible.

My apologies... behavior described seems to occur only if I have edited the
bookmark list.  After moving bookmarks to a folder in bookmark list, Mozilla
deletes bookmark.htm upon quitting.  So now I believe this is an example of bug
# 159642.
