Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.21; Mac_PowerPC) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 When reading an IMAP mail account, I can't read any e-mails in certain threads, as Mozilla just up and dies. I can read other messages without any problem, but not these threads. It starts to render the page, so I believe the problem is in display rather than fetch. The mail messages it is failing on were likely created by Lotus Notes, but that's not the exact issue either, since it can successfully read other Notes mail. Also, when I re-start Mozilla, the message is marked as read, so it has sucessfully fetched the message. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Occurs when I read certain messages and replies to those messages. Actual Results: Crash, exit to OS. Expected Results: Displayed the message. The following message in is the console: *** malloc[1370]: Deallocation of a pointer not malloced: 0x1d3c0; This could be a double free(), or free() called with the middle of an allocated block; Try setting environment variable MallocHelp to see tools to help debug dyld: /Applications/Internet/Mozilla/Mozilla.app/Contents/MacOS/mozilla-bin Undefined symbols: /Applications/Internet/Mozilla/Mozilla.app/Contents/MacOS/components/libimgicon.dylib undefined reference to _ReleaseIconRef expected to be defined in ApplicationServices
I just verified that this is new with 1.5 and does not occur in 1.4.1.

ross: What version of mac OS are you using? I take it that you don't get any crash log from the crash reporter when you crash (if you do, please post a crash log by using the "Create a New Attachment" link). If you are on OS 10.1.5 and crash with the console message "dyld: /Applications/Internet/Mozilla/Mozilla.app/Contents/MacOS/mozilla-bin Undefined symbols: /Applications/Internet/Mozilla/Mozilla.app/Contents/MacOS/components/libimgicon.dylib undefined reference to _ReleaseIconRef expected to be defined in ApplicationServices" this is a a dupe of bug 213639 (the crashes is not just related to downloading). The problem should be resolved in the trunk builds (ie the nightly builds) but not on the 1.5 branch builds (ie the 1.5 release).
Yes, this is OS X 10.1.5 and the undefined reference to _ReleaseIconRef is in the console as I originally reported. It's probably safe to mark it as a bug.
