Using buildID 2003101804 on WinXP SP1

Steps to reproduce
1. Get sent an email with image links (at least 5) sourced from a website that
is down
2. Try and view message

Expected result
1. Can continue working in other windows whilst links timeout

Actual result
1. Whole of mozilla locks until all links have timed out.

Save attachment#134174 [details] and then try and open in a browser window.

can't open urls using mozilla for browser, does work for explorer

sorry for the spam.  making bugzilla reflect reality as I'm not working on these bugs.  filter on FOOBARCHEESE to remove these in bulk.
