223752 - Mail client suddenly creates copies of most of the email messages in Inbox

After a usual Ctrl+Shift+T command for my main account, Mozilla refreshed the
mailboxes for this account and created unexplicable copies of all the messages
received before some date and marked them as Unread. Mozilla also marked as
unread many mails from the other mailboxes.
Notes: 1. it was the first time Mozilla was opened after the 1 hour time change
of today; 2. the Inbox mailbox in which the message copies were created out of
nowhere is about 120MB big

I have reinstalled Mozilla and copied the mailboxes that I have just saved
yesterday. The same thing happened !!!

is this local/pop3 or imap? if local, why do you say all mailboxes were updated?
Do you run with quick launch so that Mozilla doesn't really shut itself down? Do
you have autocompact turned on (so that you get prompted to compact folders on
startup?)
