eg:
type a line out.
insert an enter in the line.
goto the end of the first line, hit delete. The 2nd line *should* appear at the
end of the first line, but doesn't.

It DOES work as expected if you don't goto the end of the first line, and start
deleting the last few characters, then the 2nd line does get "pulled" up to the
first.

i'm probably gonna look at this in the m13 timeframe.  Im assuming we are talking
"forward delete" here.  On some machines backspace is labeld "delete", but you
wouldn't expect that to pull up the second line.
