Worksforme with a current nightly build and the 0.7 release on WinXP. Please test again with a current nightly build from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firebird/nightly/latest-trunk/ and a fresh profile (see http://texturizer.net/firebird/faq.html#profilemanager on how to create a new profile). Please make also sure that you have no additional themes and extensions installed. Please reopen if you are still seeing this after you performed those given steps.
