User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030701
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030701
I have installed RedHat 9.0 on my Dell Inspiron 4150 laptop. I have added one
update in rpm format from the redhat network. I have upgraded mozilla from the
one distributed with RH Linux 9.
http://www.sfgate.com brings up the home page of this newspaper. When I enter a
search term in the CGI box on the home page, Mozilla crashes. When I click a
link from an article of news, Mozilla also crashes. I do not see a dialog box
or any register contents memory locations or other information.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.install redhat 9 in a dell laptop
2.upgrade mozilla to 1.4 using rpm updates
3.enter newspaper web page and click on a link (http://www.sfgate.com
Actual Results:
same thing.
Expected Results:
It should have gone from the main page to the story on the link and allowed me
to read the story
Mozilla in all forms has**always** worked on any pc I have used under linux. It
also works under Macintosh 9.2 on a nearby iMac.
This is my first failure. I wish I knew how to take a dump of memory for the
failure

reporter: can you please try it out again with a current version of mozilla and
mark this bug as fixed if the bug doesn't occur anymore?

John:
Please try to reproduce this bug with Mozilla 1.7rc1 (or later) and comment in
the bug report mentioning the talkback crash report ID if you can still
