Details

I get virus notifications that always have the same header: "Virus found by
<servername>". As long as I get new messages within the same session, they all
thread properly under the first message received with that subject. However, if
I leave any in the IMAP mail box, close my sessions and come back later when
there are new messages in the inbox, it will collect them under a new thread,
rather than extending the original thread.

This is a consistent error under both Mozilla 1.4 and 1.5 (branch, release).
I also see a mis-threading of mail items, in Version Mozilla 1.5
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007.

The following two emails are threaded together, although they are completely
unrelated. The only things they have in common are: (a) addressed to the same
email address, (b) contain the same subject header.

Michael: is this still a problem?
Version: Other Branch → 1.7 Branch
Not sure. With the dropping of 1.8, I moved over to Tbird.
ok (much of the mailnews is actually shared between the apps). I'll assume you
haven't had similar issues with tbird
