Mangled email - possibly after forwarding large number of emails to an address (or deleting emails)

This has happened before recently, and only since I started an unusual task of
forwarding 50+ emails in one email to my spamcop.net reporting address. The
problem seems to occur immediately afterwards.
Basically, I can no longer simply read this particular email easily (in the
example I cite). It has become mangled in some way.
If I click the email and view it in the preview window, I am greeted with a
bunch of *headers* from a *different* email and following that, that email's
body. The same occurs after double-clicking and opening up a window for that
mail.
Viewing the message source of this email helps isolate the problem. The text
starts to be shown half-way through the 'real' email (not its headers), then the
headers from the *different* email is shown, then its body.
Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Not sure if this bug is a duplicate (I made a kind-of weak attempt to find
out but found nothing). Email me for instructions.
Actual Results:
see above
Expected Results:
n/a

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
