I removed the Bookmarks from List and added them: no effect Restart Mozilla and/or PC: no effect I can add AddressBook and Favorites but not Bookmarks and History (less important to me) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Remove Bookmarks from Sidebar 2.Add Bookmarks to sidebar 3.optional restart Mozilla Actual Results: nothging Expected Results: show Bookmarks in Sidebar
Can confirm this behavour on Windows XP, SP1. User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 The string "Bookmarks" is added to the list on the right side of the split pane, but nothing is shown in the sidebar. "Preview" also shows nothing. History works for me, however. I tried moving away XUL.mfl and restarting, but it didn't change.
I confirm the bug (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; fr-FR; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007) with French pack, under Win98SE. It was working fine with 1.4 as fas as I can recall. As far as I am concerned, there is the same problem with the "History" (historique) tab. The bookmarks (marque-pages) and history tabs are OK on my sidebar, but never show on my other family members' accounts, even though the setup is correct: options appear in set-up right pane, but neither in their sidebars nor on the sidebar panel popup (Barre latérale > panneaux).
also reported in bug 232495 Can you try this: -Quit Mozilla (all of it - mailnews too if open) -Rename the file panels.rdf in your profile directory (you find it somewhere like ~/.mozilla/default/something.slt/panels.rdf) -Restart Mozilla (A new panels.rdf is created) Open sidebar panel with F9 - twice if needed: Are bookmarks there now?
