when opening an mhtml file, Firebird kept spawning new instances of itself ad
infinitum. This did not happen when I opened the file in internet explorer-- it
opened fine

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a mht file from OneNote
2. Open the file in Firebird
3.

Actual Results:
when opening an mhtml file, Firebird kept spawning new instances of itself ad
infinitum. This did not happen when I opened the file in internet explorer-- it
opened fine

Expected Results:
opened the file as a web page
Firebird (and Mozilla) do not support MHTM(L) web archives. Its an RFE with a
lot of votes, but its just not there yet.

If you have MHTM files set to open in Firebird, then it will open recursively
since attempting to open the file in Firebird will result in the new window
trying to open a new Firebird session to handle the file, and you get a nice loop.

Check under Tools->Options->Downloads for the filetype, and see if it (or
anything else) is set to be opened using Firebird. If so, set IE as the program
to open it with (since it will indeed support that filetype).
Should this be duped to said RFE (bug 40873) or marked INVALID?
Could go either way, when you mark dupes the reporter goes on the CC list of the
other bug, which seems like a good thing in this case.
