I can confirm this with Mac OS 10.1.5 build 2003102905. I have a slightly different symptom, though. 1. "Bookmarks" --> "Manage Bookmarks" 2. Right-click on a bookmark and select "Properties" or highlight a bookmark and hit "Properties"(anything that makes the "Property-window" pop up will probably work) 3. Make some changes. 4. Hit "OK" (this will work) 5. Repeat step 1-3 6. Hit "OK" Result: The window won't close (hitting OK again will close it) and the following message appear in the JS console: Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80520008 (NS_ERROR_FILE_ALREADY_EXISTS) [nsIRDFRemoteDataSource.Flush]" nsresult: "0x80520008 (NS_ERROR_FILE_ALREADY_EXISTS)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://communicator/content/bookmarks/bm-props.js :: Commit :: line 308" data: no]

I have seen this bug with Moz 1.6a, Win 2000 AND Tabbrowser Extensions installed After uninstalling Tabbrowser Extensions by hand the Ok-Button worked again!
After uninstalling Tabbrowser Extensions, as described in comment 5, this problem disappeared for me too. Sorry, this must be an Tabbrowser bug.

I do not have Tabbrowser Extentions installed and I can now reproduce the problem with Mozilla 2003120305 on mac os 10.1.5.
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031203 I can confirm Stefan's problem in 10.1.5 - bug occurs every 2nd, 4th, 6th.... time. Property window needs 2 clicks on "OK" to close. This is different to the bug I was originally seeing and does not involve Tabbrowser Ext.

For the record: I have now 1.6b AND Tabbrowser installed (Win 2k) and do NOT see the problem.

Mozilla 1.6 aka Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113 Lately I have been encountering a similar problem, but I can not seem to recreate it on demand. Once it happens, it continues until I quit Mozilla (when this bug occurs, a Force Quit is typically required to exit Mozilla). Upon restart, the problem does not immediately return. I have seen this problem on 3 different Macs (G3 CRT iMac, G4 LCD iMac, G4 15" Powerbook) -- all running OS X 10.3 Anyway, what I am encountering is that the Preferences window does not acknowledge a click on the OK button and the red and green (close and maximize buttons) are greyed out. I can minimize using the yellow button or I can exit the Preferences by clicking the Cancel button.

(In reply to comment #12) > dup of Bug 14211 ? No, that bug deals with the fact that the window is modeless but lacks close button in the title bar at the top of the window (and that it shouldn't have OK/Cancel buttons in the lower-right corner) That say, I don't seem to be able to reproduce the problem anymore (SeaMonkey trunk 2005080611 Mac OS 10.3.9). Can anyone reproduce?
