Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.77 [en] (X11; U; Linux 2.4.20-pre-p4 i686) Build Identifier: any An option like mail.identity.id<x>.trash_folder is missing. mailnews allows to adjust the names of the "functional folder names" for IMAP like "Drafts", "Templates" ans "Sent" by setting draft_folder, stationary_folder and bcc_folder options in prefs.js, but there is no such option for the adjustment of the name of the "Trash" folder. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. set up an IMAP account and access it with a nationally (not english) localized Mail Client (not Mozilla). 2. access the same IMAP account with Mozilla mailnews. Actual Results: additional folder with name "Trash" appear in the IMAP account. deleted mails go there instead of to the trash-folder with the localized name. Expected Results: mailnews should use the trash-folder with the localized name. This is important for international use of the mailnews component, as these "functional folders" have different names in each cultural context.

The pref mail.server.serverN.trash_folder_name, where N is the account's number in prefs, should do this. You can set it by going to about:config in Mozilla. Marking dup of the bug for the missing ui (I don't really see how it would make sense for the Trash folder to have a localized name _on the server_ in the first place, but then I'm not too familiar with imap...) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 182274 ***
