I have 3 empty email messages all dated 12/31/1969 7:00 pm 1KB impossible to
delete.  Also have 1 email message unread that does not appear anywhere.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.  Open Mozilla email, and look at inbox.  There every time.

Actual Results:  
Even after attempting to delete, the messages reappear.

Expected Results:  
Delete the empty messages.  Show me the unread email message.

I had this problem with Mozilla 1.3, so upgraded and now have the same problem.

From comment 23 of bug 209501, it sounds like that manually deleting the file
inbox.msf removes the phantom messages.
