I propose a launch of webmail service like Hotmail or Netscape WebMail.
It's preferable to integrate the service with Mozilla Messenger.

I would actually propose to make XUL based webmail client. This would be a
wonderful demonstration the power of XUL webapps.
A webmail service could generate a little bit of ad-based revenue to pay for itself and maybe other Mozilla Messenger projects like Thunderbird. Simply ask people if they are interested in any news updates, product updates, ect. If they say yes, then ask them what kind and from where. Tell them that the money from the ads will be used to pay for the webmail. Keeping it optional would help to maintain goodwill. Keeping the ads and news feeds very customizable would help improve adoption of the ads. (I've never done marketing for sites before so I don't know how it would really work, but I think it could be a great way for Mozilla to begin diversifying its revenue stream in case one of its big backers stops backing them.) With so many followers like myself, I'm sure that webmail from Mozilla would be well recieved and have decent adoption.
What about @foxbox! thats an awesome name. Too many services are @***mail Maybe even @fox.box instead of @foxbox.com or something :D

I soooo want to ditch gmail for something moz related
